BLE is looking for a full time Resident Caretaker to perform the following duties. This position is not a typical Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm job. Nights, weekends, and extended hours may be required due to cabin rentals, snow removal, lake/stream/dam maintenance, emergency repairs as needed.
The responsibilities of the Beaver Lakes Estates Resident Caretaker
- Maintenance of equipment, roads, culverts, fences, lakes, and facilities (cabins, lodge, campgrounds and garages).
- Safety and Security of BLE.
- Stewardship of BLE privacy and all owned assets.
Skills, experience, education, and ability required for this job:
- You are a person with an amicable personality and gets along with people well.
- You are resolute and are able to navigate challenges as varied as our terrain.
- You can handle physically demanding tasks at high altitude (10,400 ft above sea level).
- You have a Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to get a CDL within 3-6 months of start of employment
- You are a natural problem solver and record keeper with light computer skills.
- You can live on premises and be on-call at varying times of the day/night.
- You’ll have at least one year experience in residential maintenance and grounds keeping.
- You can operate and maintain heavy equipment (front end loader, road grader, etc.) including snow removal and road grading/maintenance.
- You have experience in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and are mechanically inclined.
